Geography

Fairwater is located on the shore of the Dagrae Inner Sea , South of Westshire , West of Millpeak and North of Arrow Forest . Through Fairwater runs the river Lonely beck which is branched off the great river Appomac .

  • Woodward - Fairwater's woodprocessing facilities are here
  • Fishery - Primary source of food
  • Artisans Corner - Various artisans, most specialize in turning cotton into sails. There are also blacksmiths, tailors and a herbalist to be found here.

History

As Westshire grew larger people started flocking to places near the city. Fairwater is the result of people settling a bit outside the city. They created the village to tend to the needs of Westshire that couldn't be met inside the city.

The town has a population of 2800. 80% is human, 7% is halfling, and 13% consists of the other races.

Many buildings in Fairwater have a foundation of stone with wooden houses build on top. Most of the houses are one story high.

Economy

The city of Fairwater excels in crafting sails. They also process wood, have blacksmiths and a herbalist. Most of the food is fished out of the Dagrae Inner Sea with the addition of some grown vegetables on the nearby farms. Most of the farms however produce cotton which is used in the sail lofts native to the town. Much of the created sails are sold to the various trading companies in the city.

Traveling to Westshire is roughly 15 miles on the road and costs on average about 2 hours of travel when walking.

Education

Education is provided for the ranks of freeman and above in the public school until the age of 12.

After age 12 the inhabitants are required to either learn a profession or, with a high payment, can enroll in the various schools in Westshire .

Health

The inhabitants are inherently resistant to the wind and rain. If a person becomes sick there is a herbalist which can provide the basic medicine.

For major illnesses the inhabitants will have to travel to Westshire for a doctor.
