General
* I will allow almost anything, so long as you tell me what you plan to do, I will work with you to make the idea realized.
* If you have a problem with anything in the game or out of the game, talk to me. I will always go out of my way to help.
* Any check made with a d20 that rolls off of the table that wasn't caught by a party member is treated as a natural one.
* For the first three sessions you are given free range to your character, in case something isn't working.
* If you roleplay some cha-skill really well, I'm not going to make you roll. If you are shy or need help to do this then we can roll and see what happens.
* If you're an ass at the table or hog the spotlight be prepared to hog all the enemy attention too.
* When playing if your in character fight becomes out of character, you go home.
* If you brag about something about your character be prepared to back it up. - Oh I'm so good my 10 con 12 AC wizard who doesn't use defensive spells never gets hit, we'll see
* Circumstance bonuses for good roleplay are always a thing (and new players are likely to get them)
* Long rest heals for ((2+CON modifier) * character level)
* At Character Creation, determine if Intimidate is Strength based or Charisma based.
* Intelligent Undead are subject to Mind Affects.
* Take a break every Hour and a Half at the latest, it gives people time to stretch, piss, get a snack.
* Any character that says, "My past is too dark to explain" or any variation of such, is immediately beset by the Golden Hare, a bright yellow immortal bunny that follows them around.
* If you roll a Diplomacy check with a God and manage to get a total roll in the negatives, your character will be smote.
* All Non-Int classes are bumped to a base of 4+Int for skill points.
* Mounts and familiars are not harmed unless you use them in combat.
* At character creation roll 1d20 if you have a charisma over 12 where the number will determine people you "know personally". Upon meeting an NPC you can declare you know them, using one of the numbers, you are then in charge of making up this person and how you know them at the table
* Get a one use hero token for your Birthday.
* Not really a "rule" but general knowledge, roleplay xp > combat/quest xp.
* The user is allowed to "take average" on healing from healing potions & healing spells.
* Reroll a 1's on HD rolls for HP. You get max at 1,5,10,15,20.
* Magic Item creation is never off limits. I follow raw on the custom creation. You just have to obey purchase limits if you expect a vendor to do it for you and wait for it to be complete at the standard rate of non-rushed 8 hours a day work.
* At level 1 you can go up to 2x negative of your hit points. TPKs at level 1 are pointless and a waste of time for everyone involved.
* Unchained classes
* Unchained skills for non-unchained classes
* We follow the rules about alignment
* Summoners or other classes that are "horde" classes. I have no problem with these arms race classes. I do require that if you use them you are required to use macros if digital or preroll your dice and set them out for the beginning of your turn. I also require you to have your critters stats all laid out so you can easily have them We will be here all day if you have to roll for each little critter you summon.
* Stamina and Combat Tricks Optional Rules, Free for Fighters & Fighter Bonus Feats Only,
* Skill Unlocks - We use the Skill Unlocks rules set as outlined in Unchained. However you don't need the Signature Skill feat, act as if you had it for every skill.
* PC vs PC Bluff, If player characters try to lie to one another yet the players know the truth, the players must use Bluff/Diplomacy & Sense Motive. Otherwise no roll is made and it's reliant upon roleplaying.
* Sense Motive - You can always go with your natural hunches but if you roll sense motive to oppose a Bluff or to "Hunch" you must go by the result.
* Ability Score Point-Buy via a 20-point buy system.
* HD, Each time you level up, you may choose to roll for your hit-dice, or take the average. The decision to take the average must occur before the roll. If you roll a 1 you may re-roll, but at a step lower dice.
* Surprise Round - If you do an action that is completely unexpected you get the drop on your opponent and initiate a surprise round at the GM's discretion.
* Spells & abilities with an area of "radius [something], centered on you" count out from the edges of the creature.
* Spells & abilities with an area of "cone" follow the following chart:

* Magical healing works by accelerating the rate at which someone heals. The benefit to this is that it has almost a 0% infection rate and minimizes scarring. Healing naturally is prone to infection and will leave more pronounced scars.
* Raising creatures from the dead is difficult, and as such there are few people in the world able to do it. Raise Dead, Resurrection, and any other spells that raise characters from the dead must be run by the GM before selection. In addition, after being resurrected from death, the raised character suffers from resurrection sickness for one week.

'Resurrection Sickness':
The creature is barely able to speak, perceive, or have coherent thought - steadily gaining back their senses and capabilities over a week. Breath of Life does not suffer from this.

* Price to Pay - Simply everyone needs to contribute in some way. Some examples of contribution that we have done in the past: driving, GM-ing, bringing drinks and snacks, help cleaning the room after a sess.
* Kneeling and sitting are not conditions or combat maneuvers and provide no benefits or bonuses.

Hero points
With this option, a character starts with 5 hero point at 1st level. [...] A player can spend a hero point whenever he or she makes an attack roll, an ability check, or a saving throw. The player can spend the hero point after the roll is made but before any of its results are applied. Spending the hero point allows the player to roll a d6 and add it to the d20, possibly turning a failure into a success. A player can spend only 1 hero point per roll.
|}

Detailed Breakdown of Differences
Cohorts (Player Paraphernalia)
Role: Cohorts are vital NPC companions that join the character on their adventures, often sharing similar goals and objectives. Cohorts are not just assistants; they are integral to the party, contributing in both combat and non-combat roles.
Level: Cohorts are usually 2–3 levels lower than the character, depending on the Leadership Score, which determines the level they can attain. Their level makes them significantly stronger than most hirelings or servants.
Loyalty: Cohorts are highly loyal to the character. They are not just hired help—they are trusted companions who will stand by the character through thick and thin. Their loyalty is also reflected in their role within the party, as they often grow alongside the character in terms of power and skills.
Adventuring Role: Cohorts are expected to be full-time adventurers. They actively participate in combat, contribute to the success of the party's goals, and can serve as secondary characters in the story. They grow and evolve with the party.
Relationship: The relationship with a cohort is long-term and based on trust. The cohort often has their own motivations that align with the character’s, making them a close ally and part of the party, similar to another PC.

Associates (Player Paraphernalia)
Role: Associates are often specialists or experts in specific fields (e.g., crafting, diplomacy, or research), providing valuable assistance to the character when needed. They are not as involved in day-to-day adventuring but have specific roles that they fill.
Level: Associates are typically lower level than cohorts, around 1–2 levels lower than the character. They may be recruited to assist in tasks that don’t require high combat proficiency but can still provide valuable support.
Loyalty: Their loyalty is not as strong as that of a cohort, as they are more focused on fulfilling specific needs or goals. They can be hired for a specific purpose and may leave when the task is complete, though they are more reliable than hirelings.
Adventuring Role: Associates are often task-based and not necessarily adventurers themselves. They may accompany the party for specific purposes or assist from afar but aren’t usually involved in combat. Their role is more about providing specialized support than being a combatant.
Relationship: The relationship with an associate is more transactional than with a cohort. They are aligned with the character’s goals for a specific purpose but may not form as strong a bond.

Hirelings (Pathfinder 1e)
Role: Hirelings are typically non-combatant NPCs who provide specialized services. This can include anything from transportation, food preparation, guard duty, or basic labor. They are hired to fulfill a specific need and are not adventurers.
Level: Hirelings are typically low-level NPCs. They are non-combatants or low-level laborers, and are generally weaker than associates and cohorts. They rarely contribute to combat and are often more akin to a hired hand than a trusted companion.
Loyalty: Hirelings have minimal loyalty to the character. They are often paid for their services, and if the payment stops or the task is completed, they will likely leave. Their loyalty is mostly transactional—once the task is over, they may be replaced or dismissed.
Adventuring Role: Hirelings typically do not participate in combat or adventuring. They may assist with mundane tasks like cooking, carrying equipment, or guarding a location but do not play an active role in the party's adventures.
Relationship: The relationship with a hireling is typically short-term and based on a contract or payment. They are not emotionally invested in the character’s journey and often leave once their task is complete.

Servants (Pathfinder 1e)
Role: Servants are domestic helpers hired to take care of the character’s personal needs or household duties. These duties can include cooking, cleaning, or errands, and servants usually don’t have any skills that contribute to adventuring.
Level: Servants are non-combatants and are usually level 0 or have basic skills. They have no significant combat abilities and are not involved in adventures at all.
Loyalty: Servants are more loyal than hirelings because they typically serve the character in a domestic capacity. However, their loyalty is still limited to the terms of their service and the benefits they receive.
Adventuring Role: None. Servants are not adventurers and are not involved in any combat. Their role is purely personal or domestic, such as assisting with non-adventuring tasks.
Relationship: The relationship with servants is typically long-term but based around serving the character’s domestic needs. Servants are often not adventurers and can remain in the character's household, helping with personal upkeep.

Feats
An agreement to ensure peace and stability between the the orcish and elven factions in Erume . It was designed between 1835 - 1840 and officially accepted at 1842.

It is grounded in several key principles:
* Mutual Defense: Both factions committed to defending each other against external threats, creating a unified front to deter aggression from neighboring regions.
* Resource Sharing: The Accord established guidelines for equitable sharing of resources, ensuring that both elven and orcish communities benefited from the region’s wealth without exploitation.
* Cultural Respect: The Accord promoted respect for the distinct cultures and traditions of both factions, fostering an environment where diversity was celebrated rather than a source of conflict.
* Ecological Stewardship: Recognizing their shared connection to the land, the Accord emphasized sustainable practices to preserve Erume ’s natural beauty and resources for future generations.

History
The Verdant Accord was driven by the efforts of key figures from both elven and orcish communities. In 1835, representatives from the elven and orcish factions convened in the neutral city of Ipeave Vardariuppi . High Druid Faelar Moonshadow , an influential elven leader, was a strong advocate for the Accord . His deep respect for nature and his desire for a peaceful coexistence inspired many within the elven community. From the orcish side, Chieftain Grumak Bloodfist emerged as a pivotal leader. Known for his strategic acumen and diplomatic skills, Grumak saw the potential of an alliance with the elves as a way to strengthen his people’s position and secure their future. Both leaders recognized that unity was essential for the survival and prosperity of their respective factions.
This historic gathering marked the beginning of serious negotiations aimed at creating the Verdant Accord . The initial discussions were challenging, with deep-seated mistrust and long-standing grievances surfacing repeatedly. However, the persistent efforts of Faelar and Grumak helped to gradually build a foundation of mutual respect and understanding.

They were historically at odds but recognized the urgent need for a new approach to ensure peace and stability in their homeland. From 1835 to 1850, these factions worked towards establishing the Verdant Accord, a groundbreaking agreement that aimed to balance their diverse interests and create a unified front for mutual defense.

By 1840, the framework of the Verdant Accord had taken shape, grounded in several key principles:
Mutual Defense: Both factions committed to defending each other against external threats, creating a unified front to deter aggression from neighboring regions.
Resource Sharing: The Accord established guidelines for equitable sharing of resources, ensuring that both elven and orcish communities benefited from the region’s wealth without exploitation.
Cultural Respect: The Accord promoted respect for the distinct cultures and traditions of both factions, fostering an environment where diversity was celebrated rather than a source of conflict.
Ecological Stewardship: Recognizing their shared connection to the land, the Accord emphasized sustainable practices to preserve Erume ’s natural beauty and resources for future generations.

In 1842, the Verdant Accord was formally signed in a grand ceremony in Ipeave Vardariuppi . The event was marked by elaborate rituals and celebrations that symbolized the union of the elven and orcish peoples. High Druid Faelar Moonshadow and Chieftain Grumak Bloodfist delivered powerful speeches, highlighting the journey towards peace and the shared vision for Erume ’s future.

The signing ceremony was attended by dignitaries and citizens from across Erume , as well as observers from neighboring regions. The symbol of the Accord, a tree with entwined branches and roots representing the union of elves and orcs, was unveiled, signifying the commitment to unity and cooperation.

By 1850, the Verdant Accord had firmly established itself as a stabilizing force in Erume . The principles of mutual defense, resource sharing, cultural respect, and ecological stewardship had brought peace and prosperity to a region long plagued by conflict. The legacy of the Verdant Accord is one of hope and resilience, demonstrating that even the most divided communities can find common ground and work together for a better future.

The creation of the Verdant Accord was a testament to the power of visionary leadership and the enduring potential for unity amidst diversity. As Erume continued to navigate the complexities of the Age of Enstrangement , the Verdant Accord stood as a beacon of possibility, inspiring other regions to seek peace and cooperation. The story of the Accord remains a powerful reminder that through mutual respect and shared purpose, even the most divided peoples can build a brighter future together.

Following the Age of Darkness , Thrakdrak faced a new era of division and transformation. The chaotic aftermath of the War of the Sages and the collapse of previous alliances set the stage for the Age of Enstrangement, a time marked by the fragmentation of the continent into thirteen distinct regions. It began with The Shattering , cause by Archmage Kaelus Astravan . Other notable occurrences included the creation of the Verdant Accord , the rise of the factions: the Iron Dominion, the Coastal Alliance , the Eastern Coalition and the Celestial Order .

Notable Events
* The Disappearance of Key Figures (1800 TC- 2000 TC) Prominent figures , including influential leaders and heroes, vanished under mysterious circumstances. Their sudden disappearance left Thrakdrak in a state of uncertainty and power struggles. The disappearance of these key figures created a power vacuum and led to the realignment of regional boundaries. New power structures emerged, further entrenching the divisions that characterized the Age of Enstrangement.

* The Shattering of Turalis (1800 TC - 1815 TC): A catastrophic magical event, known as the Shattering, occurred in Turalis . An experiment gone awry created deep chasms and disrupted ley lines, causing widespread devastation and altering the region’s geography. The Shattering led to a power vacuum in Turalis , with various factions emerging to fill the void. This event set the stage for Turalis 's fragmentation and increased isolation from neighboring regions.

* The Verdant Accord (1835 - Present): The Verdant Accord was established between elven and orcish factions in Erume to maintain peace and mutual defense. The accord aimed to balance the diverse interests of its members and stabilize the region. The accord influenced regional politics by creating a delicate balance of power in Erume . It also affected relationships with neighboring regions, fostering both cooperation and tension.

* The Founding & Absolvement of the Coastal Alliance (1840 - 1954): The Coastal regions, Dagrae Iniki , Sharali , Theruth , formed the Coastal Alliance to counter the growing influence of inland powers. The alliance aimed to protect maritime interests and stabilize coastal trade. The Coastal Alliance enhanced cooperation among coastal regions and reinforced their collective defense. It also impacted regional politics by strengthening maritime trade and security.

* The Rise of the Iron Dominion (1801 - 1985): The Iron Dominion , a powerful coalition of dwarven and gnomish factions, emerged as a dominant force in central Thrakdrak . This coalition leveraged technological advancements and strategic alliances to exert control over key trade routes and resources. The rise of the Iron Dominion shifted the balance of power in Thrakdrak , leading to increased tensions with neighboring regions and contributing to the fragmentation of the continent.

* The Elven Retreat (1950 - 1955): Elven regions, particularly Yer and Ramaloce , undertook a strategic retreat to consolidate their territories and focus on internal development. This retreat allowed the elves to strengthen their cultural and political positions. The retreat solidified elven regions and increased their isolation from external conflicts. It led to the establishment of more defined regional boundaries and affected relations with neighboring areas.

* The Fall of the Iron Dominion 's Shattered Fortress (1975 - 1980): The Shattered Fortress , a critical stronghold of Iron Dominion in Kil'Gal , was besieged by rival factions seeking to exploit the region’s internal divisions. The siege lasted several years and caused significant damage. The prolonged siege weakened Kil'Gal ’s unity and led to the rise of smaller factions. This fragmentation further divided the region and intensified internal conflicts.

* The fall of the Eastern Coalition (1980 - 1990): The Eastern Coalition, a political and military alliance formed by various eastern regions including parts of Ramaloce and Edaris , disintegrated due to internal strife and external pressures. The coalition's collapse caused significant territorial realignments. The disintegration of the coalition led to the rise of independent states and further divided Thrakdrak . Regions that were once allied now faced new boundaries and shifting allegiances.

* The Siege of Guakos (1990 - 2000): Guakos was besieged by neighboring regions seeking to capitalize on the chaos following the Shattering . The siege was prolonged and devastating, leading to extensive damage to Guakos ’s infrastructure. The siege weakened Guakos ’s central authority and caused internal fragmentation. Local power centers began to rise, further isolating the region and disrupting regional stability.
The Thirteen Regions of Thrakdrak
